About
For this project, I chose to re-design Tony Deifell's book 'Seeing Beyond Sight: Photographs by Blind Teenagers' to make the book accessible for the partially sighted. Whilst I loved the contents of the original book, it seemed bizarre that the book itself was less than accessible to those who helped create it. Every design decision within the book was made with accessibility in mind. Even the typeface, Atkinson Hyperlegible, is designed specifically to increase legibility for readers with low vision, and to improve comprehension.
